Round 2: Shaken Up!

So I was happy in House 1. Sure, I had my safety in question at points but more likely than not, I would have lasted the week. Losing Lisa was bad. Out of the girls, besides Kathy and Heaven, she was the one I liked the most. I mean, it wasn't like we were close but she was robbed. But my alliance with Kathy had priority over my lesser friendship and I wouldn't side against the majority. Not in the first round. Sadly, I found out it didn't matter and I may have been able to do something with the house twist.

So my second house. Fuck. What a mess I have fallen into. From where I was safe with a combination of five people winning HoH, I got thrust into a new house with a HoH I had not spoken to at all. Keith would have no trouble throwing me up so when he got that power, I worked on him. I knew people would be kissing his ass to survive so I told him straight up what was down. Honesty is the best policy. The best way to get people to trust you is to seem human. If you show flaws, they accept you faster so I played the "I hate to say this but yeah, you would have been up". Now, you tell someone you would have thrown them on the block, that signs your death warrant, right? Not if you do it in the right way though!

So right now, I need to pray I worked Keith hard enough. He is disillusioned and hopefully my hard honesty has earned me a reprieve. I also have Jon and Ryan here who have my back ( but will probably be on the block if I am not, even though I did throw Ryan under the bus hard to save Jon). Kenny and Jeremy both said they have my back so hopefully they would veto me off. I don't know how much I can trust that but right now its better than nothing. I hope Keith doesn't put me up initially, it will give me a chance to save my guys.

So I worked Keith over hard enough that he let me stay off the block. You just need to know which buttons to push for what people. I don't want to say I manipulated him but when a man is drunk, you find out how to read them pretty easily and that Keith was like an open book when he had his inebriated talk with me. When you are in danger, you use any information you can get to help save yourself. I know throwing Ryan under the bus wasn't great but it was the best shot I had at saving my ass first. 

So Kathy is up and I can't help her but I know she has spunk, she should do find over there. If I can, I will try to persuade Heaven to take her off the block or try to get people to keep her. I can't lose Kathy already, but I know I need more than one ally if I am too do well in this game.

As for here, well, I have some people in my corner here now. Jeremy apparently wants to protect me and Kenny finally entered an alliance with me (The Handsome Sly Devils). So with Jon and Ryan, I have numbers but sadly not power. However, I hope that I have positioned myself well enough in this house. I would love to stop this stupid house war talk. Pitting original houses against each other is a foolish endeavour and it only seeks to help people who wouldn't be able to cut it against everyone else. Stand up and fight your own, not just the neighbours. 

Now I have a feeling I have a good shot at the veto. According to the image, I have all ten and I know that puts me above two people, so I have three more to beat. And I know I did a lot better than the times of House 1, as I used to slay Spot the Difference. Like, I have a sharp eye for detail like that and I know I would be stiff competition. If I win it, I am safe and I don't have to worry about getting backdoored this round. Plus I could save Ryan or Jon. I like both but I am allied with one but the other could be a strong ally. So If I do win it, I will be torn on how to use it.

I won my first challenge in this game and my god, it was a good one to win. Like, best case scenario I was able to protect Ryan and get myself safe. Now Jon's fate lands in the hands of Keith. I have been working that little HoHitis he has got but I can't came credit for him wanting to turn on his house so early on. Now I was worried he would put up Topaz or Kenny and totally ruin my plans.

Kenny is in an alliance with me and if he goes up, all that hard work cultivating that goes to waste. Same if Jon goes, a lot of effort into the air. Ryan was a gamble anyway but using the veto on him is a sign of my trust and my word. He owes me now and I will cash that chip in as soon as I can.

So me/Jon/Ryan are pretty much an alliance, I have a upcoming alliance with Kenny and some extras and I also have my deal with Kathy. Jeremy and me are pretty much done. I mean, I have been throwing him under the bus to save Kenny. I don't know why I trust him so much to screw over another potential alliance but I think Kenny can be worked. I am just putting the peices slowly together to make myself stronger. If we can backdoor Jeremy this round, what a feather in my starters cap!

So Topaz was totally noncommital to whether to boot out Jeremy or Jon. Like, Jon would at least blink twice before bouncing your ass girl! Think about it. Of course she doesn't though and now we are left without her to tie up the vote. But just when you think that things are set up one way, people have a way to surprise me. Nick came up out of nowhere, bless that little hobbit and offered that he would vote with us! So apparently Kenny would as well (which I suspected but wasn't confirmed) so we should have the majority to get out the opposition! I hope this joining of sides finally knocks down the walls of the houses that allied due to places rather than people. 

So going into the next round, if the house set ups remain the same, I have a good shot at staying safe. If Ryan/myself/Jon/Kenny win, I am safe. If Nick wins, I am probably safe. As for Topaz and Michelle, its less obvious. The best thing about surviving this week is the two people I am least connected too/like the least have HoH and can't play for it next week, so I have a much better shot at landing with a winner who won't put me up. 

So tonight, hopefully my man Jon will survive and I go into the next round with momentum. I have a comp win under my belt so hopefully people will take me seriously but even better is to end up with a HoH who won't put me up. I can use that time to build more bonds with players I haven't really connected with. Hell, I might even start ranking how much I like everyone else in depth if I survive the week after next.
