This was the one week I realized I'd be inactive when I signed up. However, early in the game I just assumed I'd be evicted by now based on how my game started out. I was away without my regular technology for my sister's wedding, which I was one of the main coordinators. So I limited my game activity to the necessities of just doing competitions and posting ceremonies and wasn't social at all.
I would have liked to win this HoH for guaranteed protection while I was away, but I got thrown off with the 9th question which was asking for the day that a female player was nominated. I think I went through every nominated female in the game and their nomination day, and none worked, so that cost me a lot of time. I'm not sure I would have won otherwise, but it's impossible to tell since I didn't do my questions in order and wasted numerous minutes throughout different points of the competition on 9. Heaven winning worked out well since we've been looking out for one another.
Memphis and Nick were intelligent nominations since they're the strongest challenge threats of the players not on our 'side' in the game. The veto was a one of my personal favorite types of competitions in games since I'm fast at typing and great at performing repetitive actions quickly. Being away without my regular computer and internet did slow me down, but I still managed to narrowly win to give myself options for the round.
I did consider saving Nick for the sake of our Defectors alliance. I calculated some probability, and decided that it wouldn't have made sense and would have significantly increased the chances of me leaving in the upcoming rounds. If I saved Nick, I would have lost the support of Heaven and Keith who I've been working with most of the game. I couldn't tell how loyal to me that Nick truly was and how much he was just looking out for himself, so it seemed like too big of a risk to jeopardize my position with my most secure allies to save him, especially since it's more likely that those secure allies would win competitions than he would.
So I didn't use veto, and then I voted to evict Nick to further secure support with Heaven and Keith since Nick was going to be evicted regardless. I didn't make any effort to suck up to Nick for his jury vote 1) because I was away and didn't have time and 2) because I didn't want to be unnecessarily fake with some story that I can't back up later. If I make finals, I'll look back to all of my actions and come up with strategic justifications for them.
