After being away last week, I finally came back home and had plenty of free time again.
The HoH was a little bit of a crapshoot with the different quotes, and I knew I didn't do well when I submitted it. However I was fortunate that no one else did well either. Even though I haven't had the most conversations, some of the conversations that I've had have been quality so I was able to figure out some of the answers.
This was a fast forward round, but it didn't make a difference for me. I've been completely consistent almost the entirety of the game saying that I'd nominate from Memphis and Lane's alliance when I won HoH. So I put the two of them up. Then Memphis messaged me trying to campaign to get me to backdoor Heaven. But Heaven and I have an understanding with each other that we're two of the strongest players in competitions, and if one of us goes, the other becomes the obvious target. So in a lot of ways, we're both shields for the other player but we also can win competitions and keep one another safe. What's been so surprising has been that we've controlled so many competitions that we're still both here. I wasn't going to backdoor her since I couldn't play in HoH next round and she could, but it didn't matter since she won PoV anyway and kept nominations the same.
I wanted to see Memphis gone. The main reason is because I feel like he's my main obstacle at final endurance, but also because he's better than Lane at most types of competitions. I feel fairly certain that Heaven felt the same way considering Memphis was campaigning to get her out and he's stronger in competitions than Lane. I find it really interesting how Hayley and Keith apparently didn't. Hayley completely ignored the messages I sent her this round trying to catch up and why I felt Memphis was the stronger player and better target to go. So Lane just left 2-1.
