Well congrats to you two for making the finals!
I have to say, I am so grateful for the hosts for being able to make the jury and I am happy to be here! Firstly, Keith, even though we didn't see eye to eye bar one brief time in the Second round, I have been impressed by your jury answers so far as they really explain what was going on in that crazy bloody mind of yours and Heaven, my British sister, while you had my vote pretty much locked when I came into this jury, finding out you were the HoH who put me up and knocked me out has shocked me a little bit as I was so convinced it was Kaysar! Taking that into consideration, my vote is now wide open.
So for my question, I have a favorite thing that is a little bit different. I always like to imagine how people view the people around them in the game context, so for my question, I want you both to sum up each Jurors "storyline" or journey as it would have been shown if we were on the television. Who was the big villians, who was the underdogs and what was the memorable moments?
So I need you to: A: Describe each member of the juries story and how they were edited (Edgic is appreciated but not necessary). B: Give one moment that they would be remembered for in your eyes C: Which BBUS housemates journey would they be most like?
Good luck with the questions guys and give it hell, be the dogs bollocks!
This was a lot of fun to write, thanks for the question. If there are typos or missteps in grammar, ignore them and assume it's perfect <3.
BENEDICT: CPN
I would consider you a villain in the same vein as Jase. You weren't delusional or nasty like a Christine, but you came on the scene hot from the beginning and were more entertaining than most anyone. I think that, edgically, since you went around the time Jase did, you would receive the villainous downfall edit 100% while the allies you had that scraped it out would get underdog edits. I think you were a defining player of the pre-jury portion of the game, and I always think the first juror deserves a solid edit because their elimination really leads to a tone shift. I don't think you were that villainous, but you definitely demonstrated that you'd do anything to get the upper-hand.
Moment: Winning the Power of Veto, saving Ryan, and throwing me under the bus- effectively creating a rivalry that people greatly exaggerated. I think the producers would exaggerate it too because, let's be honest, there wasn't a lot of conflict at the beginning.
KATHY: MORM
Kathy was the early-jury enigma that people were too afraid of/unsure of to keep around. She was one of the more prominent characters in that pre-merge phase because she was constantly either winning competitions or surviving nominations. She was never just "one of the house". She also never found her footing or had solid alliances, which was key since everyone wanted to be so loyal this season. I think that 9/10- Kathy would've gotten very deep in Big Brother. I'm going to compare her to James Rhine (BB6). James was always a target, he was always a nomination choice, and he chose to play the middle and eventually got ousted early jury.f
Moment: I think that Kathy's experience in the game is more funny than anything, but if I had to pinpoint a moment it would be when she chose to backdoor Ryan because she originally targeted someone in one alliance, then went and targeted someone in another. I think that was her demise.
JON: UTRFUN (UTRP)
Jon was the more low-key member of your alliance, but I always found him to be the most likable and funny. He had a jokester vibe that kind of reminded me of Tyson. I think he'd mainly pop up for confessional to deliver some funny quips, but I was rather impressed when he got nominated during Week 7 and went to campaign immediately. He was kind of an UTRFUN character for most of the game, but he really showed some pizzazz that last week when he could've easily just let things be. I think the perfect comparison is Ashley Iocoo, who did the exact same thing. If I remember correctly, I think Jon was also pretty new to Big Brother- like Ashley.
Moment: Not lying down when he was seen as inactive and non-threatening. It was something I really respected.
ALLISON: UTR
Allison was the chameleon of the game. A lot of people wrote her off in the beginning, but she was a sleeper cell in the game who adapted and waited until the bigger dogs got taken out. Heaven's veto was really shitty for her, because I think that she would've been a deep-game player. One of those UTR girls who got screwed by a twist when she really could've busted it out deep-game. I'd compare her to Sharon BB9, who got screwed by a silly HoH twist when she could've easily won in the end.
Moment: Her eviction. No one expected her to go so early. I think she always had fun comments, but she'll always be remembered for that sudden nom.
NICK: MOR
I think a lot of people can agree that Nick was actually playing the best game leading up to his HoH. He hadn't pissed anyone off, he kept tabs with anyone, kept his cards close but still talked strategy. It was perfect for this game. At the time in which he was supposed to step up and start taking command, he got screwed by Heaven's veto. I'd definitely compare him to Shelly who did the same thing and got screwed by that stupid Pandora's Box in S13. He was pretty entertaining throughout the game as well, and I think that he'd be UTR early on, but erupt as a strategist later.
Moment: His nomination speech.
LANE: MORP
When looking at the scope of the game, I think that most of the 'villainy' in your alliance would be stuck to you/Ryan early on, just so the producers could set up that downfall- and then Memphis/Lane would be seen as underdogs against my dominating alliance. I think that sounds like a pretty good editing structure .
Lane unfortunately was surrounded by challenge powerhouses in a game with not many luck competitions in the later stages, so I think in a lot of ways he was outshines by Memphis but I always found his game interesting. I remember being pretty surprised early on when he got nominated over Aaryn. In my conversations with him, I found him to be a very sweet and loyal guy. I remember when I lied to him about voting out Kenny, and I literally felt like shit. To the point where I wasn't even good at covering it up. I wasn't heartless in this game, and lying is actually pretty difficult for me- especially to someone who actually seemed genuinely interested in me in our conversations. He handled the aftermath with a lot of grace and I think he'd receive a really positive edit.
For all of the aforementioned reasons, I'd compare him to Jack from BB4. One of my all-time favorites.
Moment: His eviction speech- holy shit. He went out with balls of fire.
MEMPHIS: CPP
I think Memphis would probably get the Fan Favorite award. Inarguably, he was the best of three worlds- social, strategic, and competitive. I think at any point he was probably the most well-liked and well-respected player. He never lost his cool or played personally, and he was able to get really far despite being a target early on. This is kind of a testament to the fact that he really connected with people in just a short amount of time. I think he'd get the respected underdog edit and I could see him being a great narrator in the diary room because he definitely had a better grasp on the cast and game than anyone. It was bittersweet to see him go. It's hard to really compare him to anyone, but if I had to compare him to one person it'd probably be Hardy. If you'll allow me two, I'd say a combination of Hardy and Nakomis.
Moment: Probably his campaign to stay at the Final 6, really going all out to get me and Hayley's votes.
KAYSAR: MORN
The NSPV on this guy alone would be enough to put him at MORN. I think the ~gist~ of Kaysar is actually hilarious because he's actually a really nice guy, but just his general apathy for talking to anyone made him loathed.
I think I can probably speak to Kaysar's journey a little more than most. I formed a bond with him pretty early- we have similar minds and he was just neato. He won HoH in Week 2 and really wasn't around at all. He then told a random lie about Kathy, then disappeared lol. I think that's when the hate for him started <3. As we all know, he went on to start killin comps while not speaking to anyone but people he had already formed alliances with. This became incredibly frustrating for the opposition, and it all culminated in Lane's aforementioned eviction speech. The legend of Kaysar greatly eclipses Kaysar's "meh" attitude.
On a personal level, I think Kaysar is the man and should be adored for the irony of his journey alone. I'd compare him to Zach from BB8 fersure.
Moment: That Greek veto. Jesus, the dedication he had to that was incredible and you have to respect him at least a little. And he did it partly because he likes to compete, but also partly for his ally which was really cool.
HAYLEY: OTTP
God, Hayley is so underrated. She was nominated Week 1 and was easy kept because she was just this huge ray of sunshine in murky water. Her enthusiasm and optimism (and from what I've heard, hilarious video confessionals) made her a great character. She was very underrated strategically and I think she wiggled her way around so well in the game and she was always incredibly loyal to her allies- especially Kathy. She was nominated five times and only got two votes against her in that entire time. I think the person in our alliance who had the best grasp on the game wasn't me or Heaven- it was Hayley. I'm not even sure if Hayley is aware of that.
I'd compare her to Jason Guy.
Moment: Winning that endurance comp after a season of fail whaling. Truly her defining moment and I would've loved for her to pull out that last HoH win.

Hey Ben! Thank ya for the congrats my British Bloke! I can understand why you would be shocked that it was me that put you up and had you eventually go but it was all game with personal feelings aside. I liked talking to you about BBUK and we always had good chats in the early stages. I could sense a lil bit of distance between us as the game kept rolling on and that would make sense with us ending up on different sides of the game. I will try my hardest with your questions b/c I've watched the BB seasons loosely and only know a lil bit about edgic haha so bare with me!
Benedict [CP]: We spoke a lot early on and would share feelings about how peeps weren't really coming to us for alliances and that led into us sort of saying that we'd have eachother's backs and look out for one another with our British bond. I could tell you had a good head on your shoulders and were intelligent with your decisions in the way you typed/spoke. I didn't give you a tone for your edgic b/c I don't think I ever saw you as positive or negative but more so neutral. I had a hard time visualizing where you were in the game but closer to when you left I started to notice that we'd only ever chit chat when there was a game decision needing to be made. I grew cautious of ya and had pegged you to be with the guys after that move when you saved Ryan with the PoV. That was kinda the round where a line was drawn in the sand! I would give you someone like Matt Hoffman minus him always having his hand in his pants :pukey:
Kathy [MOR]: Kathy was def middle of the road. Kathy was a player that stuck out early on espesh after I had nominated her and said she and Kenny had something going on. Kathy showed a fighting spirit when she ended up staying and winning the HoH right after and came right back after me. But after i had taken myself off the block, Kathy and I came to the decision to work together and share anything we could to help each other advance in the game. I think that this showed shades of a complex personality, but Kathy dipped and dove a few times UTR which I think gives her a solid MOR rating! I think Kathy would be remembered for the accusations of her and Kenny being close but also the move where she backdoored Ryan after talking things over with me, her rival turned ally.
Jon [UTR]: I think Jon started the game off REALLY strong. I woulda put him at CP at that time b/c Jon was someone I saw around all the time and always heard peeps speaking well of him. But the game went on and he started to sink below the surface and intentional or not, that would give him the UTR rating. Jon obv had peeps looking out for him so he was able to pull off the UTR strategy well, landing him the Jury stage. I think Jon was a key member of some guy pact/alliance but his place in the alliance started to become diluted the less active he got and the less he contributed. I think a move that Jon would be known for is speculation on my part.. but I remember when he nominated Lane as a replacement nom and I think I was talking with Ally or Kathy about it (around the time when I kept pressing the guy alliance) saying that it was a cover up to throw peeps off b/c his house had the numbers to boot Michelle anyways! I'd label Jon as someone like Howie Gordon!
Allison [UTRP]: Allison was crapped on a lot by the members of the house. I remember her sharing this with me but peeps would also say it to me too and the reason why she got heat was b/c people always said how she was "inactive". She did come on at different times but I can say from experience that when I spoke to her, it was always had substance to it. Allison did try to socialize in the game and she made the effort with me and I can only assume she did the same with others too. She wasn't a strong force in competitions but she was a vote up for grabs and someone that was looking to work with anyone that would have her which is why I felt good in my 1 on 1 alliance with her. I can see her kinda like Victoria from this season of BB. She was underutilized!
Nick [CP]: Haha this one is easy. I saw Nick as my largest threat in the game. I remember when I realized that Nick was going to be around for a bit and I decided to play with the idea of working with him and said that it would be a good idea to keep each other in to keep a threat other then ourselves around. When you spoke to Nick you could tell that the wheels were always turning. I felt that when talking to him I had to choose my words carefully b/c for a LONG ass time I never knew where his loyalties lied. I think ever since the game started Nick woulda been one of the contenders to win from the get go. I think a moment he would be remembered for was when he made the smartest nominations possible but then having his whole week blow up. I would pick someone like Eric Stein for Nick's representative.
Lane [CP]: Lane would get so much face time! He was always online haha. I always kinda grouped Lane and Memphis together and when I spoke to either of them I would always share how I liked the other (and it was the truth too!) I think that Lane's social game from the very start helped him navigate as far as he did. He talked to everyone as far as I could tell and tried to get a good read on what was going on in the house. I think that like me, Lane allied up with the right peeps and REALLY tried talk to the people that had huge pull in the game. It's all about cozying up to the right people in the BB house and having the right social connections. I remember he always came close in the challis early on but couldn't catch a break. Is it lame that I kinda want to give him Lane Elenburg as his representative haha? If not then I would give him Ryan Quicksall from Season 9.
Memphis [CPP]: Memphis was always so positive when we spoke and even when he was down about something he still had that positive outlook on things that maybe things could get better. Memphis was a outgoing guy that I saw people drawn to. If this game was filmed and produced on DVD, one of the faces would be Memphis' on the cover. Memph was a key player and someone I saw as having control in the game despite being dealt a bad hand over and over and over near the end when the wrong peeps for him kept winning. To me, Lane and Memphis had a powerful duo and that was the reason they were 2 of the last guys opposite me, Hayls, Kaysar and Keith! Memphis ability to 'woo' in conversations helped him greatly and he had great perception on the game (example being him coming after me!) I would associate Memphis with Hayden Moss BB12!
Kaysar [MORP]: Kaysar was really hard to do a edgic for lol. I think Kaysar did ENOUGH in comps to avoid being UTR and he won key competitions that helped keep him alive but also keep his allies alive too. Kaysar was a loyal guy but also a smart one. I think if the time came for him to take me out he would done it. When I spoke to Kaysar he was always level headed and weighed decisions with both the pros and cons and then decided what the BEST route to take was. He is really like Kaysar haha and that's who I'd pick as his representative. Like Kaysar he was sometimes that soft word that would help make a decision and offer insight and could win comps at the same time. I think Kaysar would be known for continuously escaping danger by a hair and removing himself off the block with the PoV!
Hayley [OTTPP]: The game's sweetheart! MY lil peach lol. Hayley had such a rough start to this game. Can all of you see why her story woulda been so good if she had made the end? THAT is what scared me about her. First week in the game she wasn't around and peeps were ready to just kick her to the curb. As days passed she began to talk to peeps and everyone would see how sweet and genuinely kind she was. I clicked with her and knew I wanted to go deep into the game with her. She wasn't the strongest in comps and couldn't help by winning those but you could see that an effort was made and she tried her hardest every single time. She didn't have any bolo don her hands was so UPFRONT and HONEST with everything she was doing. She didn't play games and was straight forward. Hayls could be any of America's sweethearts really. I could see her as the Jordan to my Jeff?? Her most memorable moment without a doubt is winning the endurance over Keith and me after not doing so hot in comps all season.
I hope you're still trying to stay dry on those rainy UK days! Thanks Benny!
